Internal Medicine
Assessment of general health, medication and illnesses that affect mood, sleep and energy. Part of multidisciplinary, holistic and science-based clinical care.
General health in the mental health plan.
Internal Medicine assesses the patient as a whole. In a mental health clinic, it brings the physical component into the treatment plan.
Fatigue, low mood, anxiety or insomnia can have physical causes. Taking multiple medications requires an overall review.
Internal Medicine works closely with Psychiatry.
